Terms & Conditions

AutoCalc Drive  |  Effective date: 8 April 2026

Important notice: These Terms contain provisions about recurring subscription billing, cancellation rights, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and your responsibilities when using AutoCalc Drive. Please read them carefully before starting a trial, subscribing, or using the Service.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AutoCalc Drive web application, calculators, dashboards, subscription features, dealership sharing tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

The Service is operated in South Africa by LFT Consulting PTY Ltd ("AutoCalc Drive", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, starting a trial, subscribing, making a payment, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Supplier Information

For purposes of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002 ("ECTA"), our supplier details are:

Operator: LFT Consulting PTY Ltd
Trading name: AutoCalc Drive
Location: South Africa
Email: support@ltfconsulting.co.za
Support and privacy contact: support@ltfconsulting.co.za

2. South African Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are intended to be read consistently with applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA), and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Nothing in these Terms is intended to unlawfully exclude, limit, or waive any right that you have under South African law. If any provision conflicts with a mandatory legal protection, that provision must be read down or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of the Terms will continue to apply.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have the assistance and consent of a competent guardian where legally permitted.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete account information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity on your account.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, fraud, or misuse of your account.

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe that your account information is false, misleading, compromised, or being used in breach of these Terms.

4. Nature of the Service

AutoCalc Drive provides digital vehicle-finance and affordability tools, including calculations relating to car loans, cash-vs-finance comparisons, lease-vs-buy analysis, lump-sum scenarios, early settlement estimates, currency display preferences, and related dashboards.

AutoCalc Drive is an informational calculation tool only. It is not a bank, credit provider, insurer, financial adviser, broker, lender, debt counsellor, or legal adviser. The Service does not guarantee finance approval, interest rates, savings, settlement values, vehicle pricing, dealership terms, or any commercial outcome.

5. No Financial, Credit, Tax, or Legal Advice

All figures, outputs, estimates, projections, repayment breakdowns, settlement calculations, affordability results, lump-sum analyses, and any other monetary values generated by the Service are purely mathematical calculations based solely on the inputs and assumptions you provide. They are produced by applying standard financial formulas to the values you enter.

These outputs are not binding in any way — on AutoCalc Drive, any bank, any dealership, any finance house, any lender, or any other party — and carry no legal, contractual, or commercial weight whatsoever. No dealer, dealership group, or financial institution is party to or bound by any figure shown within the Service.

All calculated amounts are always subject to change and may differ materially from real-world outcomes for any reason, including but not limited to: differences in actual interest rates, fees, charges, outstanding balances, banking conditions, product-specific terms, rate adjustments, early-settlement penalties, or any other factor that affects your actual loan or finance agreement.

  • They do not constitute financial, tax, accounting, legal, or regulated credit advice.
  • They are not binding quotations, firm offers, or commitments from any bank, dealership, lender, or finance house.
  • They are not a substitute for an official settlement letter, finance agreement, or formal lender statement.
  • You must independently verify all figures with the relevant institution and obtain professional advice before making any financial decision.

6. User Obligations and Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not:

  • use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading purposes;
  • misrepresent loan offers, settlement figures, affordability, or subscription status to any third party;
  • attempt to bypass subscriptions, trials, access controls, or security protections;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, copy, exploit, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
  • upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, spam, or unlawful content; or
  • use shared dealership or temporary-access features in a way that breaches confidentiality, privacy, or applicable law.

7. Free Trials

We may offer a limited free trial to eligible users. Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing:

  • the trial is intended to be one-time per user / email / account;
  • trial availability may be withdrawn, restricted, or changed at any time;
  • trial abuse, duplicate accounts, or circumvention may result in immediate suspension; and
  • paid access is required once the trial expires unless another lawful access basis applies.

8. Subscriptions, Billing, and Recurring Payments

8.1 Subscription Types

AutoCalc Drive may offer individual subscriptions, dealership or group access, trial access, manual activations, and any other plan displayed in the app or quoted by us in writing.

8.2 Pricing

Subscription pricing is the amount displayed to you at checkout or otherwise agreed in writing. Unless expressly stated otherwise, payment collection is processed in South African Rand (ZAR). Display currencies in the app are for convenience and do not alter the actual billing currency unless we expressly say so.

8.3 Recurring Billing Authority

By starting a paid subscription and clicking the checkout / payment confirmation, you authorise us and our payment service provider, PayFast, to collect the initial and recurring subscription charges from your selected payment method in accordance with your plan.

8.4 Immediate Access and Renewal

Access is typically enabled shortly after successful payment confirmation. For the current individual monthly plan, the first recurring billing cycle is scheduled to start on the 1st day of the next month, giving you access for the remainder of the current month after initial payment. Renewal timing may be updated if the plan changes.

8.5 Failed or Reversed Payments

If a payment is declined, reversed, refunded, charged back, disputed, or later found to be unauthorised, we may suspend or terminate the related access until the account is regularised.

9. PayFast Payment Processing

Payments and recurring card tokenisation are processed through PayFast, a South African payment gateway. Based on publicly available PayFast materials reviewed on 8 April 2026, PayFast offers tokenised subscription billing, PCI DSS Level 1 security, 3D Secure protections, and merchant refund tools.

  • Your card details are entered into PayFast's secure payment environment and are not stored by AutoCalc Drive directly.
  • PayFast may tokenise and securely store card details to facilitate approved recurring billing.
  • Your payment use is also subject to PayFast's own terms, rules, and payment-processing requirements.

We are not responsible for outages, banking delays, issuer declines, fraud screening decisions, or other events within the payment networks or PayFast environment, except to the extent caused by our unlawful conduct or breach.

10. Cancellation, Cooling-Off, and Refunds

10.1 Cancellation by You

You may cancel your subscription at any time by using the cancellation method made available in the Service, through the payment provider where applicable, or by giving us written notice. Unless a different process is stated for your plan, cancellation stops future recurring billing, and your access will generally continue until the end of the paid-up period already covered.

10.2 South African Consumer Rights

Where applicable, you retain any cancellation or cooling-off rights available under the CPA and ECTA. If you expressly request that digital access start immediately after payment, you acknowledge that any statutory cooling-off rights may be limited to the extent permitted by law once service performance has begun.

10.3 Refunds

Because AutoCalc Drive is a digital access service that is generally made available immediately, refunds are ordinarily not provided for a billing period that has already commenced, except where required by law or where we decide otherwise in our discretion (for example, in the case of duplicate billing, unauthorised charges, or a material service failure directly caused by us).

Approved refunds may be processed through PayFast or another lawful payment route. Processing times can depend on your bank and payment method.

11. Dealership, Group, and Shared Access

Certain plans may permit dealership or group-based access, including temporary share links or invitation-based access. Any such access is personal, revocable, and subject to the commercial arrangement governing that dealership or group.

  • Temporary links may expire automatically and may not be transferable.
  • We may revoke dealership or shared access if a plan expires, is cancelled, is abused, or is used outside its intended purpose.
  • Dealership administrators remain responsible for ensuring that invited users act lawfully and in compliance with these Terms.

12. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Service, including software, content, design, branding, formulas, layouts, text, graphics, and documentation, belongs to AutoCalc Drive and/or its licensors.

Subject to these Terms and any active subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your internal lawful purposes. You may not copy, adapt, sublicense, resell, publish, distribute, decompile, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.

13. Privacy and POPIA

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African privacy law, including POPIA. By using the Service, you acknowledge that certain personal information such as your name, email address, account records, and subscription status may be processed for account, security, billing, and support purposes.

Financial calculator inputs are intended to be processed primarily within your browser. Payment-card data is processed via PayFast.

14. Service Availability and Changes

We may update, improve, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any feature of the Service from time to time, including for maintenance, security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or product development.

Where required by law, we will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting active paid subscriptions, including material pricing or billing changes before they take effect for a future billing period.

15. Important Limitation of Liability Notice

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, AutoCalc Drive is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or loss-of-profit damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service, including losses arising from inaccurate inputs, third-party lending decisions, dealership negotiations, bank errors, payment-network failures, or interruption of access.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the paid Service will, to the extent lawfully permitted, not exceed the amount paid by you to us for the affected subscription period giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the CPA, ECTA, POPIA, or any other applicable law.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of your unlawful use of the Service, misuse of any shared access tools, breach of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party right, except to the extent caused by our own unlawful conduct.

17. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access immediately if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, created security risk, failed to pay valid charges, or used the Service in a way that may expose us or others to harm.

Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued before termination, including payment obligations or lawful claims already in existence.

18. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us first using the details above so that we can try to resolve it quickly and fairly.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from referring an eligible complaint to the National Consumer Commission, an applicable ombud, the Information Regulator, or any court or forum with jurisdiction under South African law.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time to reflect product, legal, operational, or compliance changes. We will update the effective date shown above, and where required we will give notice of material changes before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to your non-excludable statutory rights, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts or lawful dispute-resolution bodies in South Africa.
